Steve Marx received a scholarship to Harvard College, where he was an honors student and varsity athlete while waiting tables, helping to found and operate two student film series, working backstage at the Loeb Drama Center, and actively opposing U.S. military intervention in Viet Nam.
On graduation, Steve taught film, and later video production at Colorado Academy, Phillips Academy, Andover, Hotevilla-Bacabi Community School, Mass College of Art and Design, the McCormack Center for the Arts, and Urban Planning Aid. He moved to Community Television in 1981, and became Director of Original Production for Comcast’s New England Region.
Steve left cable tv in 2003, and started an independent company producing videos and livestreaming events for non-profit organizations. In 2016, Steve joined BNN as Producer of ‘Around Town,’ a weekly magazine program that has since won numerous regional and national awards for programming excellence and community involvement.
