We begin tonight with more innovation in the Boston Public Schools. Officials are considering changes in focus and strategy for as many as five schools.

One school in Allston has won a national competition for teaching students to program software applications. Students at the Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing won this year's Congressional App Challenge.

City figures show Boston's largest jump in the cost of housing over the past few years was in Roxbury. According to the Bay State Banner, between two thousand ten and fifteen, the median cost was up by seventy percent.
