Our top story: federal charges for the death of Jassy Correia. The man accused of killing the twenty-three year-old mother from Dorchester, Louis D-Coleman the Third, is being transferred to Massachusetts.

Members of the board of directors for the M-B-T-A are joining the call for a more limited fare increase. According to the Boston Globe, one board member says the Tee should get more support from other sources of revenue.

Boston will honor Martin Luther King, Junior and Coretta Scott King with a symbol of empathy and togetherness. Announced yesterday as the choice for a monument on Boston Common were conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas and the MASS Design Group.
