A man who was allegedly beaten by an M-B-T-A Transit Police officer tried--unsuccessfully--to get to get help from the Boston Police. One Transit Police officer was indicted Wednesday for assault and battery and a civil rights violation.

A Dominican national from Dorchester faces prison and deportation in connection with a wide conspiracy in drug trafficking. In federal court this week, forty-six year-old Isis Lugo-Guerrero has been sentenced to two years in prison.
