The City Council has honored some Boston firefighters and a fire alarm operator for an emergency rescue in South Boston. A woman was rescued from the top floor of a house on Mercer Street during a fire on June 26th. A conservation nonprofit's trying to get approval for a new waterfront park in East Boston.
