Basic Radio Production for BNN Certification

Learn to create a radio program in 6 sessions; this workshop will cover radio equipment and how to use it, FCC rules and regulations, pre-production, hosting and interviewing techniques, and how to promote your show. 

The workshop is an in-person workshop.

Chroma Key for TV

In this workshop, members will learn how to set up the green screen for production and utilize this production tool to enhance their programs. The Chroma key, better known as “green screen,” is an “effect” tool in Television production. It allows a picture or video to be superimposed behind a subject. Television Studio Production for TV Production Certification

Learn to create television programs in 8 sessions; production hardware, pre-production planning and producing essentials, framing, basic set design, lighting, audio, and interviewing skills.   The workshop is an in-person workshop.

Basic Audio Editing & Mixing (Open to Non -Members)

This 5-class workshop is geared toward teaching the basics of Audio Editing using Audacity, GarageBand, and Logic Pro. Learn the interfaces, workflows, and tools while you create tracks and mix assigned audio projects. Using all acquired skills, write, produce, record, and mix a PSA or Promo for your final assignment.

Registration for Basic Certification Workshops is open to full BNN members only. Workshops are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, upon receipt of payment. BNN reserves the right to cancel workshops if minimum enrollment is not met.

WORKSHOP LOCATION: All classes are held at the BNN Charles J. Beard II Media Center: 3025 Washington St. Boston, MA 02119. Our facilities are handicap accessible and easily accessed by car or the MBTA. For detailed directions, please call 617-708-3200.

WORKSHOP FEES: Workshop registration fees are due at the time of registration. We accept personal checks and money orders made payable to BNN. We also accept credit card payments online and over the phone (Visa, Mastercard and Discover).

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE AND CONFIRMATIONS: Workshop schedules are subject to change with notice. BNN reserves the right to cancel any class, change instructors and reschedule classes as needed. Your registration will be confirmed by phone or email.

REFUND POLICY: Full refunds will be made if a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment. Student cancellations must be received fourteen days prior to the workshop start date and a cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund. No registration fees will be refunded after the first day of class.

SUPPLIES: Students are responsible for their own supplies, unless otherwise stated in the course description. A supply list will be emailed or mailed to students prior to the first class.
